About Me
Lily Tie was a dedicated Early Year teacher for more than a decade. Throughout her teaching years, she has developed a passion and love for children’s picture books. All the beautiful picture books that she had encountered gradually planted and nurtured a dream in her heart- a dream that she can one day write stories and create picture books of her own.
In 2020, Lily gathered her courage and farewelled her beloved job as a teacher to embark on an adventure to pursue her dream of becoming a children’s picture book author.
God’s lamp of faith led Lily through the forest of the unknown. His armor of strength carried her through the mountain of impossible, and she sailed across the sea of doubts holding onto God’s book of promises. In August 2021, Lily published her very first children’s picture book, “When I am afraid”. It was a very special moment for her. For the book was not only her first published book, but it was also a book that she had made in collaboration with her daughter.
As Lily carries on the journey ahead, she knows that with God by her side, families and friends cheering her on, wherever this journey takes her, she is confident that it would be an adventure of her life. With colourful ideas exploding in her mind like fireworks, Lily is very excited to invite you into her world of children’s picture books.
